Eat & Exercise yourself fit!

Keep your employees healthy Eat & Move yourself is a lifestye- and weight management programme. The programme consists out of an intense 3 month programme . There are two ways to follow this programme. You can participate to a weekly group meeting that comes with an e-learning programme that can be followed online. You will have to weigh yourself each week on the same day and time. You will have then have to proceed to follow the e-learning process.

Research has shown that a diet alone does not show significant increase in health- and subsequently that additional exercise  alone does not give the right result. This is why the combination of good nutrition and excercise is essential for a succesful lifestyle change. This is the reason why two professionals will guide you through the programme. Together they will make sure that you get the maximum result. 

During the 12 week programme Nienke ter Hoor will be your personal dietitian. She will take care of the nutrition aspect of the process. Petra Vennegoor will be your personal trainer and will take care after the exercise programme. 


Eat & Exercise 
The programme is not primarily written with weight reduction in mind, however it should be noted that more than 50% of the Dutch population is overweight. Overweight (obesitas) is considered to be the most common and large scaled disease of the 21st century and always has a negative effect on health. Overweight is no longer considered as a temporary or esthetical condition by doctors. It is a chronic disease which shows itself in other diseases including lung- and joint conditions, a high blood pressure, heart- and blood disease, diabetes type II and even several forms of cancer. Weightloss also contributes to decreasing risk factors, and it also is known to increase confidence of an individual.


Main Goal 
The programme educates you on nutrition and exercise and generates insight on how the body and mind function. With this knowledge the eating pattern, and subsequently the weight can be managed better. Seizing weight gain and generating a slight loss of weight contribute to a significant increase in health and decreases the risk on overweight. 

What can you expect from this Eat & Exercise programme?

The group meetings excist out of 12 training sessions each lasting 1-1.5 hour, supported by the e-learning programme. The complete online e-learning programme exists out of self-study, questions and keeping your food & excersise diary


The programme focuses on:


Gaining insight on the functioning of the own body (including stomach- digestion system, the metabolism, e.g.)

  • gaining insight in the psycho-social aspects of eating and excersising (emotions, perserverance, confidence)
  • gaining insight in recipes-, menu's,- and foodstuffs
  • the importance of excercise and body posture
  • trainingmethods and training principles 
  • composing your own personal goals  

The clinic lets you gain insight on the daily energy consumption. This will help increase the self correcting capability to not only lose waight, but also to keep a steady weight or even gain weight at your own will.
